School & Dragonfly in Amber

Hello Everybody!

Sorry that I haven’t updated in a while if any body cared or not. Right now I’m in Language Arts because my teacher is having us type up practice sheets that have nothing to do with the actual test. So I decided to write up a new blog.

Two days ago, I finished ‘Outlander’ by Diana Gabaldon. After reading ‘Outlander’ I quickly read ‘Of Mice and Men’ by John Steinback once I saw how short it was. UnsuRprisingly, I cried. After reading ‘Of Mice and Men’ I went to Barnes and Noble and grabbed ‘Dragonfly in Amber’ by Diana Gabaldon; the second book in the ‘Outlander’ series. While at Barnes and Noble I grabbed this little book called ‘642 Tiny Things to Write About’. So far I’ve written 5 pages.

Anyway I have to go right now before I get yelled at.

Wood Chippers & Beginning of Outlander

Hello Everybody!!

Yesterday I officially started to read ‘Outlander’ by Diana Gabaldon, I’m on around page 150 and I absolutely love it so far. Since I happen to know that there are 8 books in the series I decided to look up if there would be more and Diana confirmed that there will be a 9th book. Woohoo! By the time I’m caught up the book will probably already be out. Due to the fact that the pages are thin, large, and the words are really small and there’s around 630 pages. Thankfully I have April Vacation so I have the full week off!

I would’ve wrote more yesterday but due to the fat I had started Outlander and was really tired, I was occupied the whole time. Yesterday was rough, I wanted to read in my comfortable bed but due to all the distractions I found it difficult. So I went into my mom’s room and read for around 5 minutes before passing out in her bedroom and waking up to a loud annoying grinding noise.

Outside, my neighbors decided that at 10 o’clock in the morning was a good idea to renovate there backyard and throw everything through the wood chipper. I almost ripped out my hair.

Okay, back to Outlander. So far, I totally ship Claire and Jamie, there is a slight attraction I feel, but they want to take there sweet time. (Just Kidding, Diana (from what I can tell so far) is really good at writing love stories from what I’ve heard)

My mom said that I can finish reading the ‘Outlander’ series but that I’m not allowed to watch the show due to sex. It’s days like these when I remind her that I watched American Horror Story behind her back and that I’m learning about sex in school, it makes no difference to me.

Thanks for letting me rant!!! Have a nice day and leave a comment below!!!

Fangirl & MTV Movie Awards

Hello Everybody and Good Morning!

I’m ecstatic. About 5 minutes ago I finished ‘Fangirl’ by Rainbow Rowell and wow was that book amazing. I absolutely loved it! It was definitely my cup of tea. From what I heard from BookTubers is that Rainbow Rowell is amazing at writing love stories, though I can’t really say that due to the fact I’ve only read ‘Fangirl’. But, soon I will read ‘Eleanor & Park’ which I heard is also another non-cliche love story.

Last Night was the MTV Movie Awards, they featured Shailene Woodley as Trailblazer of the year and she gave an amazing speech, she also won best kiss between her and Ansel, and she also won best female performance. Her speech for best female performance had me in tears. She thanked John Green especially and had him in tears also. She’s most definitely my favorite actress, ever since Secret Life of an American Teenager.

Well that’s all I have for today so far! Thanks for reading!

Music Saves Lives ♪

Hello Everybody!

I really have wanted to talk about this with somebody. Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of music. Bands like Good Charlotte, 5SOS, Florence + The Machine, and even Guns N’ Roses. And then I had this thought. You know. These bands. Actually all bands save lives. Everyday. There are kids younger than me that deal with anxiety and depression, but bands like 5SOS and One Direction save their lives. Obviously this is a known fact around the world that music saves lives, right?

So, why the hate? See, I am a big fan of 5SOS and whenever I think about how they saved my life and countless others. Why are there people hating on them? You’ve never met them so why hate on them. Why waste your time hating someone when you can be loving another? Also, whenever I see One Direction being hated on by teens, I always think ‘There music is targeted toward younger girls, those younger girls are inspired and saved all the time. Why waste the hate?’ I thought we wanted to make Peace and not War. A war started between the 5th Harmony and 5SOS fans due to hate, Hate that isn’t needed. I just wanted to make a point.

My Obsession with Pokémom.

Hello Everybody!

As some of you may know, I have an obsession with Pokémon. It started when I was 7. Both of my older cousins liked it so I decided to try it out. I started watching the TV series and playing the games. I even collected the cards. Then when I was around 8 1/2 I got disinterested. I ended up getting interested in Tech Decks.

When I turned 10 I picked it up again. But it got even worse. I bought a huge binder and started to sort all of my Pokémon cards by generation and numerical order. I play the games still, watch the TV show, and even have gone all the way to New York, just to stop at the Nintendo Store (The whole bottom floor was all Pokémon items) and buy handfuls of merchandise.

Now. I’m 13 and still absolutely obsessed. I have T-Shirts, posters, stuffed animals, pillows, blankets, stickers, a Pikachu piggy bank, games, and 3 tins filled with doubles and cards I haven’t even sorted through yet and a huge binder that contains over a thousand cards and is heavy as fuck!

I even went to the extent of buying Pokémon cards from Japan (It’s origin.) (By the way, the cards are even cooler in Japanese.) Here are some times I have expressed my love to Pokémon.

1. I played a Pokémon Wii game and cried when Pikachu got sucked up into a black hole.

2. I took a ‘Who’s that Pokémon?’ test on the original 150, and completed it in less then 10 minutes (A new record for me.)

3. I have a binder filled with over a thousand Pokémon cards and a piggy bank.

There you have it. My obsession with Pokémon.

Thanks for reading! Comment down below if you like Pokémon too!

Fangirl, Outlander & My Pizza Baby

Hello Everybody!!! I hope everyone has been having a good day?

Today has been a great day! I started out waking up at 10 and having some waffles and just trying to regain my senses.  I then started my next book, having I had finished ‘Paper Towns’ the night before, the next book I started was ‘Fangirl’ by Rainbow Rowell. Now it I started this 434 paged book today and I am already 215 pages in and I absolutely love it!!! (As you can tell) Hopefully I’ll be finishing this amazing book tomorrow, seeing how it is around 7:30 and I have the rest of the night to read this book.

Anyway, today I got to see my recently licensed cousin (who got me into Pokémon) who I haven’t seen in awhile and we decided to leave my grandma’s house for a bit since it was getting kinda boring just watching baseball and golf. So we decided to stop by Barnes and Noble. What a bad idea that was! I kept my voice inside but all I could think was ‘I want this book, I need this book, I need all of these books.’ All I got was one book though, seeing how I didn’t bring any money to my grandma’s house and was totally unprepared. But, my cousin was nice enough to let me buy one book. The whole ride to Barnes and Noble was spent with me hunched over my phone on Google Docs scrolling through my Book List trying to decipher what book I wanted to buy while there.

At first I was just going to look and see which book I desired most, but instead I bought ‘Outlander’ by Diana Gabaldon. The reason I bought this book was because I had added it to my book list due to Sasha Alsberg and also, lately I’ve been hearing a lot more hype about it. It was in my TBR list but I didn’t know if I wanted to read it now. But, I will be reading it, either tomorrow or the day after. And I am extremely excited to start it! And I’m extremely excited to finish ‘Fangirl’! Sometimes I wish I could read like this robot named Short Circuit (Short Circuit was a movie about a robot and the robot happened to be able to read a whole book in seconds and retain all information) (God I wish I could do that.)

I’m sorry. I hope no one minds that I tend to ramble on about books. It just happens. Once you even mention a book that I’ve read or want to read. Then you have my undivided attention.

After going to Barnes and Noble with my cousin we stopped tey get ice cream and then headed back to my grandma’s. Soon after I wanted to keep reading ‘Fangirl’, but due to the noise of Red Sox and Yankee fans cheering and booing in the background along with my family practically yelling to one another over the sound of the 32” tv. I had, had enough. I tried to go outside but it was too cold. So I then decided to just take my book and chill in my grandma’s black Impala. Why did I choose this car out of all he others? 1. It is quite cozy. 2. It was quite. And 3. It was black, which meant it was extremely warm in the car. Thank god I didn’t have to practically freeze my ass of outside in the breeze.

Soon my mom came from what I guess you can call ‘old’ people shopping? We ordered pizza. Half cheese and half meatball. I ended up having 4 slices of the cheese. And that is when I realized I was pregnant with a pizza baby. If it was a girl I’d name it Pepper. And if it was a boy I’d name it Crusty (This is the depressing extent of my imagination.) While typing this, I’m trying not to slip into a pizza induced coma while also trying to keep my stomach from exploding with pizza. Ugh. Its days like these when I almost think about giving up on pizza. But, I still love it. I just have to learn to limit myself when it comes to the food of the gods.

Thanks for reading! Comment down below if you have ever had a pizza baby and if you read the ‘Outlander’ series!

Its quite long isn’t it! Ok, I would have been reading ‘City of Heavenly Fire’ by Cassandra Clare but, due to what I like to call, ‘Book OCD’ and because all of my other Mortal Instrument books are paperback and stacked on one another, It would mess everything up. And I just learned that the paperback copy of ‘City of Heavenly Fire’ will be coming out May 5th so I will wait. Sadly.

So, I feel the need to write some more, so I’m going to give an explanation of my condition (Book OCD). There is two types: Book Shelf and Book in general. I have both. My book shelf needs to look spot on and be neatly organized by series and stand alone’s and favorites. Also, if I were to let someone to borrow a book of mine, I have a few conditions.

1. We need to be close, either blood related or best friends. 2. No dog earring the pages to keep your page. Trees have feelings, so paper has feelings, which means books have feelings. At least to me. 3. The book is not a coaster or table. 4. Do not write in the book. 5. Do not stain the books pages, or let someone else borrow the book without my permission. 6. I want it back in 2 weeks time. Or else I will have a panic attack and will require it back or else expect me knocking on your door.

Sadly, my condition creates me into a whole new type of book freak.

Well, Thanks for Reading! Leave a Comment down below if you read any of the books in my TBR list and if you also have, ‘Book OCD.’

Three Hours I Will Never Get Back , Paper Towns, & Sasha Alsberg

Hello Everybody! I am having a good day so far and I hope everyone else is also!

So, today in my 8th grade class. Junior Achievement came. The worst 3 hours of my life. Learning about stuff a 13 year old girl does not need to know at the moment. All we talked about was Net Worth and Career Options and College Degree’s which are a good 4-8 years away. The whole time was spent with me and a few of my friends in the back of class on our phones waiting for the lesson to be over so we can leave and get our little presents. Usually when JA gives presents out, it’s a stuffed animal or a half-decent water bottle. Yet, all we got was a wristband and a pencil that both read ‘Junior Achievement’!

Like really! I don’t want to be reminded of the last 3 hours I spent listening to a random guy talk about money, taxes and our career. First of all, at 13, who really knows what they want to be when they grow up. Like right now I have a few options, 1. An Author, 2. A Video Game Designer, 3. An Actress or a Video Game Actress. Those are a few of my thoughts on what I want to be when I get older. My answers change a lot. It’s gone from a cheerleader, to a professional soccer player, a homicide detective, a forensics analyst, and a chef.  Who knows, maybe in 4 years I wanna be the owner of something huge or an inventor, or an engineer! Who knows?

I also have some good news!!!

I finished ‘Paper Towns’ by John Green. Literally 5 minutes ago. As you would know if you read the intro I’ve gotten into reading a lot more. I read ‘Paper Towns’ in 3 days! 2 days more than when I read ‘The Fault In Our Stars’! Personally, I would recommend the book ‘Paper Towns’ to the ages 13 and up! The booksincludes mystery, romance, and it kept me on the edge of my seat.

Anywho, the next book that I’ll be reading is a book called ‘Fangirl” written by Rainbow Rowell (Such a cool name.) I stumbled upon this book when I started watching a YouTuber called ABookUtopia. Her name is Sasha Alsberg and I am so jealous of her book shelf! Her videos are based on books. (If you couldn’t tell from the name) She does monthly videos about books she read through the month and her TBR books (To Be Read.) From watching her videos and her recommending books to the viewers, I have gained a TBR list with over 70 books on it! Thank you Sasha! Anyway, I hope you all have a good rest of the day!

Thanks for reading! Leave a Comment down Below if you read Paper Towns or Fangirl!

Vampire Academy Series… I need to let it out.

(Procede with caution, Spoilers)

Hello Everybody!

Second Update will be about something I’ve been holding in for the past 4-5 months. If you read my intro, then you would briefly know that my cousin recommended the Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead to read, she was on book four at the time and gave me a brief telling of just what it was about. So I read the whole series, in just 2 months! After I finished the series I immediately texted her and informed her, getting no reply due to the fact that she is 21 and unemployed, when I next saw her I came to the realization that she is only on the fifth book! She was the only person I know to have read the books… She doesn’t know what happens at the end so I intend to let out my ranting on this exact blog.

(SPOILERS AHEAD!)

It was her all along! In the second book (Frostbite by Richelle Mead) when Tasha Ozera was introduced, I knew I didn’t like her one bit. She was sketchy and a random character to come in and introduce, I knew that she was soon going to have a bigger meaning in one of the later books. I was right! Tasha Ozera was the one who was plotting against the Queen and Lissa, and kept trying to set up Rose! (By the way, if some of this is wrong, remember I finished this book around 4-5 months ago and have been reading other books since, my memory is a bit vague and seems to only remember big details at times.)

When it was revealed that it was Tasha Ozera, I was shocked! I hadn’t expected it to be her, but I couldn’t even guess who the culprit was! Richelle Mead did an amazing job writing a huge plot twist that I was not expecting at all! I was glad at the end when Tasha got prosecuted (?) and Rose got shot. I wasn’t happy that Rose got shot, but she saved Lissa, cleared her name, and even found the true culprit. (I probably wouldn’t have been able to figure that out, but who knows. I’m quite protective over my best friend too.)

(SPOILERS OVER!)

To anyone who skipped over and didn’t read the spoilers, then read this. The Vampire Academy Series was amazing! I recommend it to ages 12 and up. It’s about Vampires in a modern day world with romance and suspense, it’ll keep you on the edge of your seat.

Thanks for letting me rant! Feel free to comment on what you thought about the Vampire Academy Series!

Charmander, xx

Hello!

Hi. My name is NerdyCharmander. But, you can call me Charmander or Charm. Why have I started this blog? The reason that I started this blog was to have a friend. I want to find someone out in the world who has the same interests as me. My close friends have most of the same interests as me. But, I want international friends, who I can share my secrets with anonymously. So, let me tell you a little bit about myself.

I’m a girl, my favorite color is green, and I like to play video games, a lot. I also like to read books a lot. Lately that has escalated, I used to read only about one book per month and now I’m reading at least a book per week! I need someone to talk about with these books. None of my friends have read them, and if they did, it was only cause the movie was coming out and don’t feel the need to theorize with me. I especially need to talk with someone about the ending of The Last Sacrifice (Last book to Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead)… My cousin was on book 4 when she recommended the series to me. Now she’s on book 5 and I finished them in like 2 months. I loved that series. I’m definitely going to read the Bloodlines series (also by Richelle Mead) because I heard it was about two of my favorite Vampire Academy characters, Sydney and Adrian!

Oops! Sorry, got of track. Hope you don’t mind. Reading my newly attained blog, you should expect me typing paragraphs about Pokémon, gaming, books, my theory’s, and about my tragically awkward life.

Thanks for reading!
